Walter Rude

Walter Rude, 76, of Langdon, ND passed away Thursday June 4, 2009 at the Maple Manor Care Center of Langdon, ND.

 

Walter Henry Rude was born December 28, 1932 to Olaf and Geneva Rude.  He was a life long Langdon farmer.  He entered the United State Army on March 10, 1953 and was honorably discharged on March 7, 1955.  Walter was united in marriage to Lorraine Kalis on January 23, 1965 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Walhalla, ND.  They continued to farm and a son, Randy, was born to them.  Walter was a member of the United Lutheran Church, served as Clerk for Loam Township, and was a board member of South Pembina Cemetery.

 

Walter is survived by his wife Lorraine Rude of Langdon, son Randy (Kim) Rude of Langdon, ND, granddaughter Kennedy Rude of Langdon, many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Leslie and Clem, sisters, Anna Mae Olson and Karen Gellner.

 

Visitation will take place from 2 to 5pm on Sunday June 7, 2009 at the Brooks Funeral Home of Langdon, ND.  Visitation will also take place for one hour before the time of the services at the church on Monday.

 

SERVICES  will take place at 10:00 O’Clock on Monday June 8, 2009 at United Lutheran Church.

 

Interment  South Pembina Cemetery, Rural Langdon, ND.
