Ronald Hoffarth, of Grand Forks, ND and formerly of Maida, ND passed away May 5, 2009 at the Cavalier County Memorial Hospital of Langdon, ND.

 

Ronald was born January 19, 1934 to Dominic and Anna (Schuler) Hoffarth at the family farm home near Maida, ND.  He grew up on the family farm near Maida.  He was united in marriage to Grace Girodat on April 15, 1958.  Ronald farmed with his brother and father and raised livestock.  He also worked for Floyd Mikkelson Texturing of Langdon in the winters.

 

He is survived by his wife Grace of Grand Forks, ND, his children: Frank (Janice) Hoffarth of Grand Forks, ND: Betty Nelson of Grand Forks, ND, grandchildren: Jessica, Daniel Jr., and Brandi Nelson, Morgan and Evan Hoffarth, sisters: Margaret (Joseph) Schill of Langdon, ND; Mary Alice (Mathias) Girodat of Langdon, ND; Lorraine  (Allen) Girodat of Crookston, MN; Frances Fischer of Fargo, ND, Dorothy (Alfred) Johnson of Moorhead, MN, sister-in-law Dolores Hoffarth of Maida, ND along with numerous nieces and nephews.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Alex Nelson, brothers Gilbert and Joseph and sisters Eileen Schill and Loretta Schill, and Godson Darrell Hoffarth.

 

VISITATION will begin at 6:00pm with a 7:00pm prayer service all at the Brooks Funeral Home of Langdon, ND on Friday May 8, 2009.  Visitation will also take place for one hour before the time of the services at the church on Saturday.

 

SERVICES  Saturday May 9, 2009 at 1:00 O ‘Clock at the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church of Mt. Carmel, ND.

 

INTERMENT  Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery, Mt. Carmel, ND

To Grace and family. The sudden Death of Ronnie Seems so unreal that the two brothers should leave this world that close. But that is Gods plan and we must trust in him.
