Ronald LaPorte, 71, of Osnabrock, ND passed away Thursday, March 22, 2007 at his home in Osnabrock.

Ronald Francis LaPorte was born February 17, 1936 to George and Mary (Schwartz) LaPorte in Langdon, ND.  He attended area schools and went on to work for area farmers and did some highway construction.  He belonged to the Osnabrock Fire Department for 16 years and was a member of the Knights of Pythias.

Left to mourn his passing are brothers:  Merlin LaPorte of Cavalier, ND; Laverne (Pat) LaPorte of Osnabrock, ND; Darryl (Alverna) LaPorte of Walhalla; Gary LaPorte of Langdon, ND; Ken (Deb) LaPorte of Langdon, ND, sisters: Marge (Harvey) Beauchamp of Osnabrock, ND; Karen LaPorte of Cavalier,; Judy LaPorte of Cavalier, Marlene LaPorte of Cavalier, several nieces and nephews, sister-in-law Arlene LaPorte of Walhalla nd brother-in-law Russ Kirby of Walhalla.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Leslie and Larry, sisters; Joyce Kirby and Shirley Bothum.
