Jon David Delvo, 44, of Langdon, ND passed away Tuesday May 6, 2008.
Jon David Delvo was born March 1, 1964 of Langdon, ND to John and Shirley (Tetrault) Delvo. He grew up in rural Langdon on the family farm, attended St. Alphonsus Catholic grade school and graduated from Langdon High School in 1982. He went on to the State School of Science in Wahpeton, ND where he received a degree in Plumbing. His working life revolved around his love of farming. He spent many years going custom combining with Don and Kenny Borho, worked for Emil and Keith Lorenz and later Jim Kjos farming. He spent over twenty years working with Brad Bata in his farming operation and loaded unit trains for CHS. He started partnership farming with his father in 2001. Jon was a member of the Eagles Aerie #3454 of Langdon, ND. Jon loved farming, working with the dirt, planting seeds and harvesting crops. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle and was an avid hunter. Jon’s pride and joy was his daughter Jayla.
Jon is survived by his loving family: parents John and Shirley of Langdon, his pride and joy: daughter Jayla Maag of Devils Lake, ND, sister: Jody (Wade) Klindt of Langdon, ND along with their children: Janae, Justina, Jadyn, Raelyn, Rachelle and Jordan, brother Scott (Mary Jo) Delvo of Buxton, ND and their children Aaron, Adam, Ashley and Adrianna, sister Jacklyn (Jeff) Kram of Langdon, ND and their children Kylie and Ryan, his grandmother Alma Geir of Walhalla, ND, aunts and uncles: Elaine Dunnigan of Maida, ND, Ray Peloquin of Virginia, MN, Wally Tetrault of Virginia, MN, Lorne and Judy Tetrault of Langdon, ND, Beatrice Delvo of Langdon, ND, Janis Delvo Papascum And Frank Papascum of Leavensworth, WA, Betty and Leonard Kathman of Manvel, ND and Kathy and Mike Kraft of Devils Lake, ND, numerous cousins, great aunts Eva Moos, Rose Moos and Edith Moos all of Langdon, ND and Clara Chaput of Walhalla, ND and many many good friends and neighbors.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Catherine Delvo, grandfather Amie Tetrault, aunts and uncles Jerome Delvo, Joseph Delvo, Gordy Stavang, Lyle Keegan, Della Peloquin, Jack Dunnigan, Karen Tetrault and cousin Mark Peloquin.
Visitation will be held on Friday May 9, 2008 from 3 to 5pm at the Brooks Funeral Home of Langdon, ND.
Prayer Service: 7 O ‘Clock Friday evening at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church of Langdon, ND.
SERVICES Saturday May 10, 2008 at 11:00 O ‘Clock at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church of Langdon with visitation for one hour before the services at the church.
Interment: Calvary Cemetery, Langdon, ND.
