James MacDowall, 74, of Langdon, ND passed away Saturday September 23, 2006 at the Cavalier County Memorial Hospital of Langdon, ND.

James William MacDowall was born September 27, 1931 to William and Ethel (Magnus) MacDowall at Langdon, ND.  He attended school in Harvey Township and extended his education in the military.  James served his country in the military for sixteen years, serving two tours in Vietnam in active duty.  After James returned home from serving our country he farmed on his family farm. 

James is survived by one brother; David MacDowall of Langdon, ND, three sisters:  Ila MacDowall of Osnabrock, ND; Betty Dahley of Fargo, ND and Gloria (Gerald) Long of Moorhead, MN along with a number of nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

James was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.

VISITATION  from 4 to7pm Tuesday at the Brooks Funeral Home of Langdon, ND

SERVICES  Wednesday Sept. 27, 2006 at 2:00pm at United Lutheran Church of Langdon, ND

INTERMENT  Harvey Centre Cemetery, Rural Langdon, ND.
