Delores Girodat, 74, of Langdon, ND, passed away September 9, 2006 at the Altru Hospital of Grand Forks, ND.

Delores Ann Balsdon was born March 12, 1932 to Alvin and Margaret (Mirehouse) Balsdon in Hay, Township, Cavalier County, ND.  She graduated from High School in Langdon, ND and went on to receive her teaching certificate at Mayville State Teacher’s College in Mayville, ND.  She taught in country schools in the area including Vang, West Hope, Dresden and Mt. Carmel.  Delores and Donald Girodat were united in marriage on May 31, 1954 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Mt. Carmel, ND.  They lived at Langdon and Wales before moving to Lansing, MI in 1956.  They returned to Mt. Carmel for a short time before moving to Grand Forks in 1960 where she was employed by the University of North Dakota.  They moved to Karlstad, MN in 1963, Monte Vista, CO in 1964 and in 1972 they moved to Langdon, ND where they have lived since.

Delores is survived by her husband Donald of Langdon, son Dale of Langdon and daughterDawn Marie Cramer of Maple Valley, WA, grandchildren Chanse and Chloe Cramer of Maple Valley, WA, sisters: Barbara Reinke, Stillwater, MN; Bonnie McDonald, Langdon, ND; Irene Simons, Troutdale, OR; Ethel Girodat, Langdon, ND; Patricia Knudsen, Glasgow, MT; brothers: James Balsdon, Langdon, ND; William Balsdon, Langdon, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Robert, Allen, Howard, and John Balsdon and son-in-law William Cramer.

VISITATION  Tuesday September 12, 2006starting at 4pm  with a 7:00pm Prayer Service at the Brooks Funeral Home of Langdon.  Visitation will also take place for one hour before the time  of the services at the Church on Wednesday.

SERVICES  Wednesday September 13, 2006 at 2:00pm at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church of Langdon, ND

INTERMENT  Calvary Cemetery, Langdon, ND.
