Danny Gillin

Danny Gillin, 22, of Langdon, ND formerly of Lancaster, California, passed away Friday May 11, 2007, after a lifelong battle with Cystic Fibrosis, at the Cavalier County Memorial Hospital of Langdon.

Danny Gillin was born August 22, 1984 at Pamona, California. Danny was raised by his parents, Lydia Fortuno and James Fortuno, Sr. in Lancaster, CA.  In April of 2004 Danny moved to Langdon, ND where he was a friendly and smiling face for many customers at the ALCO store.  Danny had a love of eagles and had an extensive collection.  He also loved cartoons, and also enjoyed the old Disney movies.  Though Danny was battling Cystic Fibrosis, he was always more concerned with the well being of those he cared about.  He left a lot of family and friends who loved him behind.

He is survived by his parents Jim and Lydia of Lancaster, CA, siblings: Amber Gillin of Langdon, ND; Braden Gillin of Fontana, CA; Melissa Fortuno of Cleveland, Ohio; Marcie Fortuno of Cleveland, Ohio; James Fortuno of Cleveland; Ohio; Darrell Carmain of Langdon, ND; Rick (Annette) Carmain of Langdon; Reba Nash of Cleveland, Ohio;  Josh Nash of Clevland, Ohio, and honorary sister Tiffany Ditsch of New York, nephews: Danny Carmain of Langdon, ND; James Dye-Fortuno of Cleveland, Ohio; Micheal Fortuno and Malaki Fortuno Cleveland, Ohio, nieces: Jamie Carmain of Langdon, ND; Mya Fortuno and Trinity Fortuno of Lancaster, CA, special aunt Cheryl Fortuno of Lancaster, CA.

SERVICES will be held Thursday June 14, 2007 at 2:00pm at the Brooks Funeral Home of Langdon, ND.
