June Dickson, 82, of Hannah, ND passed away Thursday, December 31, 2009 at the Cavalier County Memorial Hospital of Langdon, ND.

June Gustafson was born August 10, 1927 to Alfred and Laufey  Gustafson in South Olga Township in eastern Cavalier County, ND.  She attended school in Osnabrock and Langdon, ND.

June and Daryl Dickson were united in marriage on June 11, 1948 at Mountain, ND.  They owned and operated the Grocery Store in Hannah Daryl had owned previously together until 1955 when they sold the business and moved to Roseville, CA.  They returned for the summer of 1957 to run a fishing and hunting camp.  In the fall they returned to California where June worked as a bookkeeper at Caddel Chevrolet.  She also was a cashier at Patio Foods.  Daryl and June moved to Hannah in 1963 to farm.  They also started an Antique Shop, Dickson’s Depot, in 1975 in the old Hannah Train Depot.  They grew the business to include many buildings with treasures of all kinds.  June and Daryl retired from farming in 1993 and wintered in Edinburg, TX which provided them the opportunity to find more antiques for their shop.   June was active in her community including serving on the Hannah Cemetery Board.  She moved to the Maple Manor Care Center in  2007

She is survived by her husband Daryl of Hannah, ND, brfother Robert (Gloria) Gustafson of Casper, WY, sister-in-law Judy Gustafson of Fargo, ND, sister-in-law Darylene Schneider of Langdon, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by an infant son Goldwin Daryl, Jr.

Death is not extinguishing the light; it is putting out the lamp because the dawn has come.

What a awakening for June...!

Remember Daryl, death ends a life, not a realtionship.

Our hearts may weep for what we have lost but the soul laughs for what it has found and I do believe June has found a lot..

You have my loving sympathy.

John Bergman
