Charlotte and family, sorry to hear of Dennis' passing Our
thoughts and prayers are with you in this difficult time. We'll all miss
"Coach".

My sympathies to the family. Dennis was a high school
classmate of mine from Zeeland. It is a shock to learn the he passed away.
Although I had not seen Dennis in many years; I can recollect many of the
fun times we had in high school. Dennis loved to tease but not in a hurtful
way. I always told him he was the oldest in the class and of course, I was second
oldest. I will not be able to attend his services as we have a family get together
planned at my daughter's house in Fargo. My thoughts are with the family
during this time.

You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult
time. I have many great memories of Coach Pfeifer. He had a great sense of
humor and always had a smile. He will be truly missed by all that knew him.
God bless all of you.

Our sympathy to Charlotte and the family. Dennis was a wonder
person, so full of fun and enjoyment. He was someone who a person just liked
to be around. I considered him a friend and he would always find the time to
still stop and give me a hard time every time I would see him when I was
back in Langdon. My trips back are going to be less fun now. God Bless and
know our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I was sorry to hear about Dennis passing away. I taught next
to him my first year of teaching in 1976-77. My most memorable item where
he is concerned is how he always said to me "I wish it were Monday" on
Fridays. I've used that line with teachers and kids ever since I left
Walhalla, and I always think of Dennis when I use it. He was a great guy and
an excellent teacher.

I was very sorry to hear about the loss of Dennis. I remember
all of the good times he made possible for us in High School. He was able to
do anything he wanted to do at a very high level. He alway had a great sense
of humor and a smile. Thanks Dennis, you will be missed.

Charlotte, Laurie, Lisa, Michael, and Robert - My sympathy goes out to you guy's. I am so sorry for your loss. I remember Dennis as "Pfief" as the guy's in Walhalla's Class of 84 would call him. He was not only a good teacher, and friend, but he had a great sense of humor. How many time he would say "Mr. Hornung, Mr Nelson, Mr Hardy, or Mr Johnson I think you need some pepto bismol" because we were talking to much, or we may need to talk to our moms about something", when we we were acting up. We all knew it was time to buckle down when he used these terms. He had a way of keeping you engaged like nonone else. What a great guy! Then there was drivers education. I remember Dennis telling me that I actually taught him a thing or two about driving. I knew he was kidding, but it made you feel good just the same. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Keep your wonderful memories of your husband and dad alive. He will truly be missed by all of us. Take care and m!
ay god bless all of you during this time.
Michael Hornung
My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time of sorrow. Mr. Pfeifer was one of those people who touched my life in such a way that years later I still carry him close to my heart. He was my teacher, my coach, a man that I respected. He had a great sense of humor, was always teasing us and making us laugh while educating and preparing us for life. Thanks Pfeif...you will be missed!

Charlotte and family, We were so very sorry to hear about the death of Dennis. Remembering him brings a smile to our faces. He was always so much fun to be around, with never a dull moment. We'll never forget the good old days in Walhalla and all the great times hunting , trapping and partying we had together. Although we haven't seen one another in years we have wonderful memories of our times together. Ron and Pat Geerdes
We are very saddened with the news that Dennis has passed away. We deeply regret not taking the time over the past several years to visit you and Dennis in Langdon. We will always remember the 'Fife' as a very good friend and mentor ( teaching, basketball, golf, hunting). We both taught and coached with Dennis from 1972-80 and will always remember the great times we had. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
God Bless
Steven and Susan Rassier
I was saddened to hear of Mr. Pfeifer's passing. I have nothing but fond memories of him as my favorite teacher in highschool as well as my drivers ed teacher. His classes brought us what we needed to know and he did it in such a way, with his humor and incredible charisma, that learning was fun. He's one of those special "salt of the earth" individuals whose presence will live on in so many hearts. My deepest sympathy to the family at such a heart saddening time.

Charlotte and family, So sorry to hear of Dennis' passing. Tony Gross, class of 63.
Charlotte and family. I am sorry for your loss. When I heard I was flooded with emotion. As neighbors in Walhalla, Dennis and your family welcomed us right away to a new town, showing us the ropes if you will. Dennis made a huge impresion in my life as a freshman taking his Senior Civics class with a bunch of high-strung jocks>. Dennis looked out for me in that class and made sure I stood up for myself. I got an A in the class(my favorite class ever) but what he taught me was that no matter what the situation, if you do the footwork, are confident about your effort...right or wrong, people will respect that. Dennis had such a great sense of humor and always made us laugh. Thank God he shared him with me,my brothers and sisters and Mom and Dad.
With Love and sadness,
Tim Salander
