The two main characteristics of a gentleman is propriety of manners and consideration for others...

Charles Dickens said, Once a gentleman, always a gentleman...both statements would be Mr. Warren Waind. With respect I give His family my condolences.

John Bergman

Debby (Gemmill) Smithers

Waind family...I have over 60 years of memories with your Dad, Mom and family... One of my very favorite ones is coming to Milton and playing out in the HUGE back yard I thought then. Also with utmost respect for the way your Dad "took care of his Millie" in the later years. My love and sympathy to you all...and to you Warren?

"SEE YOU AT THE GATE, WITH ALL THE REST "

Lovingly

Mark, it sounds like your father had a great life.  My mother and dad were about the same age, but they are gone now.  I'm sure your mother and father will be glad to be together again and watching over all of the members of their family including yours.

Thinking of all of you today, and I’m sorry I was not able to attend Warren’s funeral.  As your family was important in my life, both in Milton and Langdon when everyone was growing up.

I will be visiting my son, Jason, in Wisconsin as they had identical twin girls in December 2010, so I will be spending time enjoying them.

Friends Always and my prayers are with everyone,

Doris Klein

Thinking back to my time in Langdon - I was in the right place at the right time to have had your dad as my minister. Condolences to all the Waind family.

Warren, you started out as a resident but quickly became a friend.  I was so very lucky to know you.  I will miss your smile and sense of humor. What a wonderful family you and your wife have.  As I would say to you each time I brought you up front for your ride to dialysis...."take care my friend".

Shawn Coulter

Dear Waind Family

My sincere sympathy to you and all of your family. Truly, when our parents have passed on it is a very sad time in our lives. I just remember those fishing trips to Canada. Tommy, we were just very young kids, but I remember all the fun we had every summer.  Mary and I even caught a few walleyes. Your parents were such wonderful, beautiful souls and may they rest in peace.

Very sincerely,

Randi Holo Swanberg

Waind Family,

I can't say enough about your Dad.  He was a man of great character, a wonderful husband, father, friend and his children are a testament to his life.  I feel so blessed that he was part of my life.  Your Dad has been my "Uncle Dick" since I was 6 months old.  He and your Mom were very special to me.  Growing up our families spent a lot of time together and I have so many fond memories.  One memory (other than the story of bringing my Dad cold beer to the field on a hot summer day)that stands out to me is when you would stop unexpectedly at Millie and Dick's house you would often be served toast and jam.  Dick would go up to the store and bring home a loaf of bread and Millie would plug in the toaster.  This happened even when Allen and I were dating and would come to Milton for a dance.  We would always stop in and have a wonderful visit with our toast and jam. A more recent memory is of the ride with us in our convertible.  He always liked cars as I recall and he loved that

ride. I am glad that I had such a nice telephone visit with your Dad a month or so ago.  I could tell that life was getting difficult for him. He will surely be missed here on earth but what a wonderful gift Heaven has received!

Carol and Allen McConnell

Our sympathy goes out to all your family.  It was great to have known your Dad and Mom and we will remember them & you in our prayers.
