Ruth Ridley, 83, formerly of Maida, ND passed away March 4, 2010 at the Good Samaritan Center of Osnabrock, ND.
Ruth Emma Kruger was born October 11, 1926 to Leopold “Leo” and Amanda (Buchweitz) Kruger at their farm home near Clyde. She grew up and attended school at Dresden and graduated from Langdon High School. Ruth went on to Mayville State and then taught in the Langdon area. Ruth and Kermit Ridley were united in marriage on September 22, 1945. They made their home in the Maida area where they farmed and raised their family. Ruth spent the last 22 years residing at the Good Samaritan Center of Osnabrock due to complications of MS.
Ruth is survived by her children: Russell (Glenda) of Watkins, MN; Sharon Wolff of Couer D’ Alene, ID; Ronald (Doris) of Langdon; Glenn of Maida; Reggie of Manvel, ND; Steve (Camille) of Bloomington, MN, grandchildren: Ryan Ridley, Christopher Wolff, Nathan Wolff, Justin Ridley, Jeremy Ridley, Casey Ridley, Tracy “T.J.” Ridley, Travis Ridley, Aaron Ridley, Christine Hoffman, Amanda Ridley, great-grandchildren: Brady and Kallen Hoffman, Ryan Ridley, Madison and Payden Wolff, Sascha, Mathew and Alexander Ridley, Zowie Ridley, siblings: Alma Crockett of Langdon, ND; Lawrence “Bud” Kruger of Roanake Rapids, NC; Frank “Mike” (Jean) Kruger of Wales, ND; Shirley (Reuben) Krein and an uncle, John Buchweitz of Langdon, ND along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant son Floyd.
SERVICES will be held Monday March 8, 2010 at 1:00pm at the Redeemer Lutheran Church of Langdon, ND with visitation for one hour before the time of the services at the church.
