June Symons

     June Symons, age 96, of Eden Prairie, MN and formerly of Langdon passed away surrounded by family on February 13th at her home.   June was a devoted  mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

     June was born to Henry and Lilah Albrecht of Langdon in 1914.  She was a 1932 graduate of Langdon High School and a 1936 graduate of the Kahler School of Nursing in Rochester, MN.

June was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, a brother and her husbands Howard “Duphie” Kelland and Adam Symons. She and her husband Howard were married in 1938, and they owned and operated the Kelland Locker and Processing Plant in Langdon until his death in 1958. Adam Symons and June were married in 1967 and enjoyed 38 years together until his death in 2005.

     June was a lifelong member of the Langdon Presbyterian Church.   She also belonged to the Langdon Country Club, Curling Club and the American Legion Auxiliary.

     In 2009, June moved to Eden Prairie, MN to make her home with her daughter, Bonnie, and son-in-law, Jim Olson. They survive her as well as two granddaughters: Nicole (Chad) Ellos of Eden Prairie, MN and April Olson of St. Louis Park, MN; and grandson: Jason (Karen) Olson and their children Devon, Taylor, Sadie and Hailey of Wasilla, Alaska.

A family interment service will be held at a later date.
