Our thoughts are with family members of Gerald at this time of loss. I have many good memories of time spent with him as school administrators in Cavalier County.  Gerald and I made many trips to Bismarck for Administrator meetings and during the long drive many topics were discussed and many card games were played both in the car and at the hotel/motel!

Gerald was ever so loyal and proud of the Nekoma and Milton-Osnabrock Schools while employed.

Our prayers are with you at this time and the days and weeks ahead.

Russell Fletschock

Marge and family...I am saddened to read of the passing of Gerald. He was my first ever Superindent when he hired me to teach and coach in Nekoma in the fall of 1966. What a wonderful person and mentor to have for a first-time teacher.

My God bless your family....

Corky George

My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Mikkelson family,

Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you at the loss of your husband and father.  I have many memories of us (Dorothy and I) spending time at your home.  He was a great father.  I know it is very difficult to lose a parent.  I know you will keep his memory alive.  God bless you all.  Denise Chaput Bielejeski

Marge and Family,

My thoughts and Prayers are with you and your family at this time. I moved to Nekoma in 1969 while Gerald was the Superintendent there, he went way out of his way to make me feel welcome. I enjoyed him as a teacher and Superintendent more than words can say. I enjoyed the bull sessions and the great hamburgers at the Bowling Alley as well. Gerald really cared about NHS, his students and about people in general. I have never met a more fair, kind and caring man in my life and will truly miss talking to him, his words of wisdom and his smile!

Jay Schmaltz

We want to send our condolences to his family. We appreciated everything he did when Angie and Mitch was in school at Osnabrock. Even though we no longer live in the area, will always remember Gerald.  Lynne and Andy Gustafson family

Marjorie and Family and Mother Bernadina I always enjoyed Geralds quick smile. Gods Blessings to all of you.
