Bella was a sweet and caring person. I knew her most of my life. She was a friend of my mother Ilene Schanz. You are all in our prayers.       Ron Fischer

Dear Karla and Family,

I just wanted to say that Bella and Elmer were very special and were a great couple.  I remember the hardy laugh Bella had and her love of sports and the Twins.  We did get to visit her at Sunset Homes and enjoyed that very much.  This is Bill Hammer oldest daughter, and we live in Fargo.    Judi Ritterman

My deepest sympathy to Karla and family of Bella!  I remember her as always having an infectious smile and a great hardy laugh. My condolences to all!

Dear Karla & family,

We are so sad to hear of your mother's passing. Her and Uncle Elmer were close to us when our family lived in Fairdale when we were very young. I attended school in 1st and 2nd grade there. We moved back to Washington in the middle of 2nd grade; but visited at length there whenever we could.  I loved it there, and became very close to Uncle Elmer and Aunt Bella.  I remember their beautiful and constant smiles and hospitality. Uncle Elmer really spoiled me.  You were lucky to have such lovable and kind parents who absolutely loved children. Your arrival was so wonderful for them. We kept up on your family news, and each Christmas got a card with photos of you and then your beautiful girls as they came along, and saw them grow. It was so nice to meet you and the girls in 1995 when I came with one of my daughters, Tina, to the  Fairdale Reunion.  Like you, I was also belssed with three daughters.  Now I also have two granddaughters and two litle grandsons, ages 1 and 3. I am sorry I haven't been able to come back to North Dakota to see you folks; but hope to do so in the future. Do you ever see Judy or Eugene?  I would love to hear from you when you get a chance.  My phone is 425-823-5257.  My email is a.lone@comcast.net.  Again, my deepest sympathies for your loss. Rest in Peace Aunt Bella and Uncle Elmer.

Love, your Cousin Adele

Our deepest sympathy to you at Bella's passing.  She was such a lovely person.  We have many fond memories of Bella and Elmer from the time we spent in Fairdale.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
